Sardelas Petsa Law Firm is a leading litigation firm in Greece, offering litigation services of the highest quality standards, in domestic and international cases, with integrity, responsiveness and deep knowledge of the local jurisdiction.
We work with clients from various industries, including, among others, capital markets, banking, construction, energy, the service and infrastructure industry, with our workflow varying depending on the nature and the complexity of each case.
We engage in a variety of litigation and ADR sectors, in all major fields of commercial and civil law, as well as administrative disputes litigation. Our expertise includes legal support in commercial and corporate litigation cases for major Greek clients, including banking law cases, as well as real estate litigation – a field which has been steadily increasing in recent years, due to the tourism and investment development.
Litigation may often be the most appropriate form of dispute resolution when there is a significant legal issue at stake. Given that every case has a unique background, the factual data of each case and the case law points to the appropriate form of dispute resolution.
In Greece the primary institutions for resolving disputes are the Civil Courts. They handle the vast majority of legal cases, and we have extensive experience in litigation with an outstanding track record of successful outcomes for our clients.
Litigating on a cross-border level may present a range of challenges, due to differences in legal systems, language barriers and mentality. Our litigation team has experience in international litigation and a high level of knowledge to overcome these challenges successfully.
We, definitely, have seen an increase in ESG litigation, as such issues have taken the spotlight in recent years. Some of the challenges arising in the context of ESG litigation include the complexity of the ESG regulatory framework and the interconnectivity between local and international rules, which poses the need to navigate through multiple legal systems and jurisdictions.
Sharing information and insights via publications, conferences and events is essential, in order to promote best practices, build relationships within the wider litigation community, and stay up-to-date with developments in the legal landscape.
Legislative and regulatory changes, technological developments, and best practices are continually evolving and may impact our litigation work. We always stay ahead of such developments, being constantly informed and adapting our approach as necessary to ensure that we continue to provide the highest quality legal advice and services to our clients.
