1. Please summarise the work your firm does and the ways in which you distinguish yourself in the provision of commercial law advice.

Our Partners have advised on some of the largest and most complex disputes across the globe. 2. What does your current workflow look like – and what are some of the various commercial law issues clients are bringing to your attention presently? If possible, please provide a recent case study.

We have a number of large commercial disputes arising out of Covid 19, the expropriation of planes in Russia Federation following the invasion of Ukraine, and some historical disputes in the natural resource and technology sectors. We are currently handling some $1.5bn of insurance claims and over $1bn of ICC arbitration claims in US, MENA, LatAm, Central Europe and EU.

3. What are the most significant commercial projects that you have advised on in the last 12 months?

Establishment of a London Market insurance Managing General Agent for a Middle East based client. Advising on the splitting up / breakaway of a major industrial property investment company. Advising on the exit from a Polish property residential development JV.

4. What are the key recent developments affecting doing business in your jurisdiction?

• Fee earner salary increases and inflation generally.
• The complexity of Litigation Funding and Adverse Legal Costs insurance.

5. Cyber security is of increasing concern for all businesses worldwide. Are there any sectors that are particularly at risk? How can you help businesses in these sectors mitigate this?

The legal sector is particularly at risk. Working with cyber resilience specialists we offer clients cyber derisking legal consultancy.

6. How do you ensure a well-informed advisory scope, in terms of policy updates and changing investment options, for clients who are based in other jurisdictions or have operations based overseas? For example, are you especially active in network events such as conferences, wherein information is exchanged among member firms?

We are active in International Arbitration and (Re) Insurance Forums, which are our main markets.
