Letter of Intent signed and dated by the Main Applicant clearly stating the motivations for moving to Malta and the intention of applying for the Nomad Residence Permit.
A valid passport or travel document.
Proof of employment or business ownership, such as an employment contract, invoices, or proof of freelance activity.
Proof of income showing that you meet the minimum threshold of €42,000 gross yearly income.
Curriculum Vitae disclosing details of professional timeline and academic qualifications.
The last three (3) months’ bank statements in the name of the Main Applicant.
Proof of health insurance coverage with a minimum cover of €100,000.
Hold a valid property rental or purchase agreement.
Provide a police conduct certificate.
Declaration to engage a representative – in cases where a Main Applicant wishes to engage Vaia Legal as their representative to assist with the application process, a declaration is to be submitted, signed by both parties and a witness.
Submit Your Application: Applications are processed through the Residency Malta Agency. Vaia Legal will submit your application to the agency on your behalf.
Pay the application fee (currently €300).
Wait for Approval: After submission, your application will be reviewed. If approved, you will receive your digital nomad visa to live and work in Malta.
Register with Local Authorities: Once you arrive in Malta, you will need to register with the local authorities and apply for a residence card.
At the biometrics collection appointment, a fee of €27.50 per residence card to be printed must be paid by the applicant.
