Saurav is a Partner with INDUSLAW with over 20 years of experience and specializes in mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, private equity investment, joint ventures and corporate governance. He has advised multinationals, Indian public and private companies, funds and consulting firms on structuring complex inbound, out-bound, domestic and cross-border transactions.
My name is Sarov Kumar. I’m a partner at CMS Indis Law, a leading law firm in India. I work out of the Delhi NCR office. I’m a mergers and acquisition lawyer with over two decades of experience. I have been particularly focusing on energy and alternative energy deals. I lead the M&A practice and co-head the Japan desk for the firm.
I have advised several international corporations on their investment prospects in India. My experience lies in complex M&A transactions while navigating through challenging regulatory regime. I also closely work on structuring joint ventures which consistently involve cultural and contractual alignment between parties belonging to different geographies.
Recently I have been extensively working with Japanese corporations on numerous energy deals in India. My most recent deal is advising Sojit Corporations on its strategic investment in an equal joint venture for biomass facilities across India. Apart from the Japan market, I have also represented clients across multiple jurisdictions including the US, the UK, France, Middle East, Australia, Singapore and Korea.
I’m looking to network with lawyers across geographies and understand cultural fit much better.
