Dr Wenzel Richter is a partner in Norton Rose Fulbright’s Munich office, specialising in M&A transactions. His practice focuses on financial and institutional investors active in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
He has extensive experience advising clients on general corporate law issues and M&A in the infrastructure sector and in connection with the energy transition, and regularly supports renewable asset managers on greenfield and brownfield projects throughout Europe.

Since joining Norton Rose Fulbright, Wenzel has built an impressive track record advising leading investors on complex, high-value transactions. Among his recent work highlights are advising EQT Energy Transition Fund on its acquisition of ju:niz Energy GmbH and Omnes Capital and the ILOS Founders on the sale of their stake in ILOS Projects to AXA IM Alts. Most recently, he led the teams advising MEAG on a joint venture for passive fibre optic network infrastructure in Germany and advising Polish family office Koronea on its acquisition of BWTS GmbH.

Education
Wenzel studied law at the universities of Bayreuth, Münster and Moscow, and holds a PhD from the Freie Universität Berlin. He qualified as a Rechtsanwalt in Germany in 2013 and is a member of the Rechtsanwaltskammer München. He is fluent in German, English and Russian.
