Viviana holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a Master ‘s Degree in Corporate Law from New York University (NYU).
She is an expert in Personal Data Protection, holding certifications from the Institut of Audit and IT Governance and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E). Additionally, she is a Lead Implementer of ISO 29100 – Privacy Framework and Lead Privacy Implementer and Data Protection Officer (DPO) in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
For several years, she served as a partner in the Corporate Area of Practice at Delmar Ugarte Abogados and later at Iberoamerican Firm, Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU), where she led the Asian Desk and coordinated all pro bono activities for the Firm. She also held the position of Vice President of Alianza Pro Bono in Peru.
In terms of her international experience, she worked as a legal consultant at the Inter-American Investment Corporation, now known as IDB Invest, in Washington D.C. Additionally, she was a visiting attorney at King & Wood, now known as King & Wood Mallesons, in Beijing, China.
In recognition of her contributions to the legal field, Latin Lawyer Magazine named her one of the “50 Inspiring Women Practicing Law in Latin America” in 2016, and in 2019, she was nominated by Euromoney as one of the “Best in Technology” lawyers.
