Urvashi Bissoonauth

Mrs Urvashi Bissoonauth is a sworn Law Practitioner and Counsellor, duly commissioned to practise as Notary in Mauritius.

She holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Mauritius. After collaborating with the Notarial Chambers of Mr Jerome Koenig since 2014, she set up her own notarial practice and developed extensive experience in a broad spectrum of local and international areas of law including: real estate, family law, landlord and tenant matters, trusts. Trained both in English common law and French civil law, Mrs Bissoonauth is fully conversant with both jurisdictions.

She has worked on diverse real estate RES and PDS projects and collaborated on two Smart City restructuring transactions. Her forte lies in drafting of notarial documents including sui generis agreements to satisfy clients demands, security agreements, accompanying deeds of sale and pre-sale agreements, in meticulous compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
