Thanny Mosima’s professional background includes completing articles at Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs, Africa’s largest law firm. His experience includes working in the largest corporate mergers and acquisitions department in Africa, focusing on cross border transactions to name a few, advising Absa Group Limited on it’s acquisition of French Bank Socété Générale’s client portfolio, IT systems and all employees dedicated to these activities. He also advised on a cross border transaction where a London Stock exchange listed entity was delisting and selling it’s shares to a JSE listed entity in return for shares of the JSE listed entity and the listing of a London Stock exchange entity. Before his articles he completed vacation work at four of South Africa’s leading corporate and commercial law firms namely ENSAfrica, Werksmans Inc, Baker and Mackenzie and Bowmans where he gained experience in Business Crimes and Forensics, Competition Law, Mining Law and Construction Law.
Experience
His primary focus is on cross border private equity transactions, acting for both the buy side and the sell side in a variety of industries, his experience spans from conducting in depth due diligence investigations to drafting definitive agreements in acquisitions as well as assessing regulatory compliance during the M&A process.
