Mr. Ravi Nath is a leader in Corporate and Commercial Laws in India and a specialist in the field of Aviation Law.
Mr. Nath began his career in litigation and appeared in several landmark cases in the Supreme Court of India as well as the High Courts of Delhi, Kerala, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
In the early 1990s as India began to deregulate its economy, Mr. Nath was the principal legal advisor to some of the largest foreign investors in the country including TetraPak, Swisscom, BMW and Bechtel. He has been a Director on the Board of several clients’ Indian companies.
When India opened its aviation sector to private players, RNC Legal was retained by one of the world’s leading lessors for its first Indian transaction. Over the past more than thirty years, the aviation team at RNC Legal has advised banks, lessors, engine and aircraft manufacturers on over $40 billion of transactions in India. He is a long time member to the Legal Advisory Panel of the Aviation Working Group (AWG) and as such, advises on aviation law related matters.
Mr. Nath has been an advisor to the United Nations and its agencies (World Bank, UNHCR, UNICEF, IFC) as well as several government missions in India including the United States, Germany, Israel, Denmark and Switzerland.
Mr. Nath lives in Delhi. He is an active member of the Rotary Club through which he organises community initiatives, several of which have been focussed on improving healthcare for the underprivileged. Mr. Nath is an avid golfer and swimmer.
