Kevin Richard Nathan is the Deputy Managing Partner of Nazmi Zaini Chambers and heads the firm’s Projects & Infrastructure practice.
He advises on a broad range of infrastructure, energy, construction and project development matters, combining transactional experience with a strong contentious practice. His work covers the full project lifecycle, from procurement, contract structuring and project documentation through to adjudication, arbitration and litigation.
Kevin has acted for project owners, contractors, developers, government-linked entities and other stakeholders on complex mandates involving energy, renewable projects, construction, transportation, public-sector initiatives and infrastructure development.
Kevin holds an LL.B (Hons.) from Multimedia University and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2017.
Prior to joining Nazmi Zaini Chambers, he practised at established Malaysian law firms, including Zul Rafique & Partners and Shearn Delamore & Co. He subsequently served as in-house legal counsel at Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP), Malaysia’s Retirement Fund Incorporated.
This combination of private practice and in-house experience gives Kevin a practical understanding of both external counsel expectations and the commercial considerations faced by institutional and corporate clients.
He is also an HRD Corp Certified Trainer and regularly contributes to professional training and industry knowledge-sharing sessions.
