Jotham Okome Arwa

Dr. Jotham Okome Arwa is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi. He furthered his academic pursuits with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Legal Studies from AIU, completed in November 2022. Dr. Arwa is certified as a data protection officer and has received specialized training from Strathmore University’s Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology (CIPIT) and the Lawyers Hub.

Experience

Dr. Arwa serves as the Managing Partner of Rachier & Amollo Advocates LLP, overseeing the Legal Consultancy and Commercial Law department. Widely respected for his legal prowess, he possesses substantial expertise in civil and criminal law, with a strong emphasis on commercial matters. His consultancy work covers a broad spectrum, including comprehensive reviews of legal and regulatory frameworks.

In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Arwa has made significant contributions to academia, having taught at esteemed institutions such as the Kenya School of Law, University of Nairobi, and currently at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Beyond his academic and legal roles, he actively participates in business ventures and civil society initiatives.

As a published author, Dr. Arwa recently authored ‘Constitutional and Human Rights Foundation of Kenyan Evidence Law’ in 2024, cementing his authority in legal scholarship. His multifaceted contributions underscore his dedication to both the legal profession and broader societal impact.
