Irina Stoeva

Irina Stoeva brings over 27 years of experience in insurance law and in all forms of dispute resolution, as well as in corporate and commercial law. She also has extensive experience in healthcare & pharmaceutical, data protection, employment, and public procurement law. Irina Stoeva professional experience comprises 6 years as an in-house lawyer at Bulstrad  Vienna Insurance Group, 4 years of work as a senior lawyer at one of the biggest law firms in Sofia, Bulgaria and 11 years as a founder and partner in her boutique firm setting. Stoeva, Tchompalov & Znepolski insurance practice is headed by Irina. She advises multinational and local insurers, insurance brokers, healthcare companies and other large corporations operating in different sectors, as well as small and medium businesses, and individuals. In her practice across both advisory and trial, Irina has appeared in all levels of Bulgarian courts and before a multitude of arbitration and regulatory panels, and has represented clients at all stages of litigation. Assisting with claims that arise out of personal injury, property damage, professional liability, traffic accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice and other accidents, industrial fire insurance, travel expenses, passengers and cargo insurance, etc., are Irina’s core expertise, including advice on coverage, claim project management, claims advocacy to secure appropriate settlement of the claim using the full range of dispute resolution procedures, including litigation, arbitration and all the form of alternative dispute resolution.

Irina is author also of Bulgaria chapter: Insurance Litigation in the 2015 Getting the Deal Through Irina holds an LL.M from University of Sofia, Faculty of Law (1994). She is admitted to Sofia Bar and to practice in Bulgaria. In addition to mother-tongue Bulgarian, Irina speaks English as well as having a basic knowledge of French and Russian.
