Experience

Ioannis Sarakinos is an Attorney-at-Law and the founder and managing partner of Sarakinos Law firm, established since 2015 in Athens, Greece. Ioannis holds two Bachelor degrees in law and a Master’s degree in Banking Law and Financial Regulation from the London School of Economics & Political Science. He is also a Certified Public Tenders Participations Procedures Executive accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System (E.SY.D.) under ISO/IEC 17024:2012, demonstrating leadership in public procurement laws.

Having a diverse legal background, Ioannis has been providing legal and relevant advisory compliance services to a broad range of clients ranging from private individuals and commercial companies to public entities, while also serving as World Bank Group Expert, offering his legal insights on compliance issues for both private companies and public bodies operating in sectors such as defense, water supply and internet services.

Since 2017, he has also been an active keynote speaker, instructor, and tutor, delivering over 300 hours of educational seminars to both private and public sector entities and employees on most compliance areas, most notably in whistleblowing, personal data protection, AML/CFT , anti-corruption, IP, ESG as well as internal audit.

Education

Ioannis Sarakinos holds two Bachelor of Law degrees and a Master’s degree in Banking Law and Financial Regulation. He attended the 1st General High School (Lyceum) of Halandri in Athens and has pursued advanced legal education to support his compliance and financial regulatory specialties.
