Ingo Klaus Wamser

Ingo Klaus Wamser was born in 1979 in Passau. After a longer stay abroad he studied from 1998 to 2002 law at the University of Passau before he was admitted to the bar in 2005 as the youngest holder of a bar admission at this time.

Legal activities are focused on criminal defence and representation of clients in international and cross-border litigation and before the European Court of Justice.

Mr. Wamser is admitted to practice not only in Germany but also at the International Criminal Court, the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.

Mr. Wamser speaks German and English. Basic knowledge exists in French and Italian.

After two years as a volunteer board member of the Munich Bar Mr. Wamser was appointed as a counsel’s disciplinary judge by the Bavarian Ministry of Justice in 2015 due to his hugh expertise in legal fees and remuneration issues and experience in cases of professional misconduct. He is a founding member of the International Criminal Court Bar Association and the Independent Representative Body for Counsel at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, serving in various functions in both bar associations.

He was awarded the title of a „Fachanwalt für Strafrecht“ (Certified Criminal Law Specialist) by the Munich Bar.

Besides the classic work as a court room lawyer Mr. Wamser is a lecturer on international law and marine mining regulations at the Montanuniversität Leoben in Austria and he is the vice chairman of the assessment board of the Lower Bavarian Chamber of Commerce for professionals in the security industry.

He is author of various articles on criminal law and shipping related topics and the author of the International Criminal Court’s Disciplinary Handbook.
