SankerIP Provides Insight About AI at the New York City Bar Association Symposium for Small & Solo Firms

The New York City Bar Association provides lots of programs, seminars, and information for attorneys. See https://www.nycbar.org/. On November 6, 2025, the NYC Bar held the 22nd Annual Small Law Firm Symposium. See https://services.nycbar.org/SLFSymposium/.

I was on the very last panel, discussing how to leverage AI while minimizing downside risk. A key point for outside counsel is that inside counsel has access to AI tools as well. Outside counsel has to provide more value than the ability to enter a prompt for an AI tool. In the first photo is the full panel for the AI session: Sateesh Nori, David Sanker, Anne Wolfson, and William Prest. We also gave away copies of my two AI books to participants.

The symposium covered the full gamut of issues that small firms face, including marketing, business development, and accounting. I wish I had attended the symposium before I launched SankerIP – I would have been more prepared. The symposium will be back next year, so put it on your calendar!
