Today, on July 1, 2026, the transitional period under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 of the European Parliament and of the Council on Markets in Crypto-Assets, hereinafter referred to as MiCA, has officially ended.
From this moment, any company providing crypto-asset services to users in Europe is required to hold a CASP license. Without it, ESMA expects a complete cessation of licensed activities and the suspension of onboarding new clients from the EU.
