WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?

I am a partner in Misick & Stanbrook’s real estate and real estate finance team.  For the last fourteen years, I have represented purchasers and vendors in every type of real estate transaction from raw land; condominiums; single-family homes; and commercial complexes, with sales and acquisitions ranging from a few thousand to millions of dollars.

As a part of Misick & Stanbrook’s real estate finance team, I have represented various commercial banks in the Turks and Caicos Islands as retained counsel encompassing drafting and registering security documents, leading foreclosure and recovery proceedings, and providing ongoing legal advice as needed.

A small part of my practice also includes estate administration, which encompasses drafting wills, applying for probate and letters of administration, managing estate assets, and selling estate assets.

I believe in providing my clients with superior service and have earned a reputation for efficiency which manifests in repeat and new clients. I attend to all client matters with expediency and due diligence. I believe in achieving the best outcome and results in any transaction I work on which usually yields commendations from clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

I have an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from the College of the Bahamas, (now the University of the Bahamas). I also hold an LLB Bachelor of Law with a Business Degree from the University of Birmingham in the U.K and completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Skills (the BAR vocational course). Additionally, I am a certified Trust and Estate Practitioner having successfully completed all components of the Diploma in International Trust Law with Distinction.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD YOU KNOW?

I am a Turks and Caicos Islander with intimate knowledge of the Turks and Caicos Islands community. I sit and have sat on various government statutory boards which with my legal expertise gives me a great understanding of the Turks and Caicos Islands business environment from public as well as private sector view and which understanding serves my clients well. I am a noted public speaker and am regularly invited to speak at various events and conferences on a wide array of topics.
