He has led the antitrust clearances for over 200 transactions, including at least 15, each of which was over $10 billion. Steve has also litigated prominent antitrust cases, including the insurance antitrust litigation and pharmaceutical “pay-for-delay” cases, and was a member of the FTC v. Steris litigation team, which completely defeated the government’s attempt to block an international merger.
Steve was the Winner of The Institute of Competition Law award for “Best General Antitrust Business Article.” The judges for this award included Jon Leibowitz (then Chairman of the FTC); William Kovacic (former Chairman of the FTC); Alexander Italianer (European Commission’s Competition Directorate General); and Frédéric Jenny (Judge on the Supreme Court of France).
