Sonal leads the first ESG Practice in India which was set up by Dhir & Dhir Associates. With his crossroad working with business & laws – he brings advice & technology for effective change management in the journey of ESG.

Sonal is in the Legal
& Regulatory Committee of The Council Of EU Chambers of Commerce
In India. He is also in the Board of Studies of MBA Law of NMIMS Business
School.

Sonal Represents on the
Expert Panel UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab.

achievements he was Awarded as Top 100 Inspirational Leaders in Asia,

Council & White Page International (London). He has been featured for this in
Bloomberg , Fortune and other leading publications. Sonal was in the Global winner’s List of Mondaq Autumn 2022 Thought Leadership for his contribution in Energy & Natural Resources .He was also in the National Committee –
Environment – PHDCCI ( 2021-22).

Sonal is well acclaimed for his work in regulatory & compliance programs over the last decade. He had in the past worked with 1800 plus clients in India and 61 other countries globally. He has worked with the top 3 unicorns and many Fortune 500 companies.

His clients have been across different industries, viz. Automotive and OEMs, Pharma and Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Chemical Industry, BFSI, Infrastructure and Utilities (including state-owned PSUs), e-Commerce and Fintech Companies, Diversified Conglomerates etc.

Sonal has worked on multi-million-dollar mandates for pan-global accounts.He brings insights to clients on the intricate detailing of different laws, their impact, pre-emptive measures, and ways to de-risk the organization.

He spent his starting years in-house at Barclaycard HQ in Northampton,UK. He has also worked in a senior position with a leading big 4 in legal risk transformation projects.

Sonal enrolled with the Bar of Maharashtra & Goa in2007. He did his LLM from the University of Northampton (UK). He also has done executive courses like Harvard Mentor Program, Strategy & Sustainability (IIM Bangalore), Regulatory Compliance Specialization (University of Pennsylvania), and Data Ethics, AI, and Responsible Innovation (University of Edinburgh).

He has also authored four books the last one was in 2009,which was available online till 2016 at Amazon-Mobipocket -A Legal Guide to Capital Raising in European Union. Besides have penned four other books for the University of Mumbai (Mannan Prakashan) between 2000 & 2005. Sonal is also on the Board of Studies for the premier law college of NMIMS from 2014 and continuing.
