Ricardo Prelhaz

The course and professional career of Ricardo Prelhaz gather very distinctive and diverse experiences, not only in national and international law firms, but also in the public sector, which allow a global perspective on the problems and have a positive influence on the work philosophy developed in the office.

His career started in the Lisbon office of Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho, where he did his law internship and worked as a lawyer, having also worked in secondment regime in the Barcelona office of the same law firm.

Later, he was part, as an assistant, of His Excellency, the Secretary of State for Public Works and Communication Office where he monitored, among others, the legislative process of formulation and approval of the Public Procurement Code and its regulation, having furthermore, consolidated his experience in the areas of Public and Administrative law, in particular in the field of public procurement, concessions, public-private partnerships and in the business sector of the State.

Before starting his current professional project in Prelhaz Advogados, he has also been a lawyer at PLMJ – Sociedade de Advogados, R.L., having worked in the areas of Public Law, Public Procurement, Administrative Litigation and Tourism and Real Estate Law.

Besides being a lawyer, he is also a trainer at INA – Direção-Geral da Qualificação dos Trabalhadores em Funções Públicas [ General Directorate for the Qualification of  Workers in Public Functions ] and at Ordem dos Advogados [Portuguese Bar Association] being,  moreover,  a regular speaker in seminars and conferences about contents related to his practice areas.

Prelhaz Advogados is a law office located in the Algarve (Faro) founded by Ricardo Prelhaz Fonseca with the objective of providing its clients with a service which, beyond innovation and specialization – very much in presence in the national and international major law firms -, equally privileges the close and personal confidence relationship with clients, ensuring the immediacy and personalized monitoring of every subject.

The office is mainly devoted to the provision of legal services in the fields of Public Law/ Administrative Law, Tourism and Real Estate Law and Company Law, both in the stage of preventive law, pre-litigation or in the litigation stage, in the judicial courts (administrative, civil or criminal) and arbitration courts.
