Ralph Sauti

Ralph Sauti is the Managing Counsel at Sauti & Company Law Consultants, a firm he founded in 2015. With more than thirteen years of experience at the bar, Ralph is a seasoned expert in Commercial and Corporate Law. His career has been marked by a unique blend of academic insight from his teaching role at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences and practical experience as a private practice legal practitioner.

Ralph is deeply grounded in both the theoretical and practical aspects of law, providing a range of services including transactional, advisory and litigation for both individual and corporate clients locally as well as those outside the Republic of Malawi. His expertise covers civil and commercial law, where he has a strong track record of success. He has provided services in litigation in courts of law in the Republic of Malawi and various arbitral fora. As the head of Sauti & Company, Ralph supervises all team members who practice and advise in various areas of law such as Administrative Law, Employment Law, Commercial Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Insolvency and the drafting and vetting of commercial contracts. Additionally, he is involved in training and is highly knowledgeable in Labour Law, having achieved significant victories in landmark cases that have shaped Malawi’s labour law landscape.

Ralph’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Mzuzu University (2005), an LLB (Hons) from the University of Malawi (2010), and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Commercial Law from the University of Malawi (2016).
