Me Anne M. Moreau

Me Anne M. Moreau is a native of Edmonton, Alberta. She obtained her R.N. (Registered Nurse) diploma from the Collège St.Jean – Edmonton General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in her first profession as a nurse in Western Canada, in Ontario, in London, England and in Quebec, while pursuing studies in history and in law. She obtained a Masters degree (Ma.) in History from the Université de Montréal in 1977, after which she graduated in law from McGiIl University in 1980. She worked at the law offices of Heenan Blaikie and Martineau Walker in the fields of Occupational Health and Safety law, Workers’ Compensation law and labour law before opening her own law office in 1987.

Me Moreau has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1982. She has also been the past Chair of the continuing education committee of the Quebec Bar in the field of Occupational Health and Safety law from 1998-2001. She is a member of the Quebec Bar’s Committee concerning Paralegals. Me Moreau, who is fully bilingual, is also presently a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Order of Nurses of Quebec, the Order of Nurses of England and Wales and the Canadian Institute of Mining.

Named “Lawyer of the Year 2015” by Best Lawyers in the practice area of Workers’ Compensation Law.

Listed in the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 editions of The Best Lawyers in Canada under the specialty of “Workers’ Compensation.”
