Mathieu de Korvin is a French attorney admitted to the Paris Bar and the founder of Alkeom. With nearly a decade of experience at top international business law firms, he has developed extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate law, and commercial law.
Mathieu handles transactional matters, including sale and purchase of companies (share or asset deals), fundraising, as well as corporate reorganizations such as mergers, hive-downs, relocations, and governance restructuring. He has significant experience in cross-border projects.
Through secondments in the M&A legal departments of major French listed companies, he has developed deep expertise in business divestitures and strategic partnerships (joint ventures), along with a keen understanding of the internal constraints faced by companies and their teams in these transactions.
He advises clients of all sizes, from startups raising funds to mid-sized companies undergoing restructurings or pursuing external growth, as well as foreign groups looking to expand into France. He also provides guidance to shareholders on investment structuring and governance matters. Additionally, he assists clients with corporate social responsibility (CSR) issues.
Alongside his practice, Mathieu de Korvin teaches M&A transactions at the Paris Bar School (EFB) and contributes to PLC Practical Law (Thomson Reuters) on contract and corporate law topics. He is also a member of the executive committee of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).
