Experience

Lyn Boxall has extensive experience in the legal field both in private practice and inhouse with major multinational corporations. She has lived in Singapore since 2000, when she joined Visa Asia Pacific and became Regional General Counsel for Visa Asia Pacific as well as company secretary to the Visa Asia Pacific Board.  She has been in private practice in Singapore since 2014.  Lyn Boxall’s firm’s slogan is ‘Speaking the language of business in Singapore’.  Lyn Boxall brings a practical approach work with clients, embedding legal requirements into business processes in a business-friendly way.

Specialties

Lyn Boxall practices general corporate and commercial law with a focus on technology (data protection/privacy, data governance, and cybersecurity).  She advises both employers and employees regarding specialist aspects of employment law and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) at the Board and C-Suite levels.  With her international qualifications and experience working in various countries she advises foreign businesses relating to establishing their Asian headquarters in Singapore, including adapting the documents they use in their ‘home’ jurisdiction for compliance with Singapore law.

Education

Lyn Boxall holds a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property from Monash University. She also holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Law (Honours) and Commerce from The University of Melbourne.   She ‘trained’ and worked for 10 years as a banking and finance lawyer in Melbourne, Australia with Blake Dawson – now the Australian arm of Ashurst.
