Profile and main activities:
Lorine Meylan is a graduate of the University of Lausanne (Law degree, 1997-2001) and of the University of Geneva (MAS/LL.M. in business law “with highest honors”, 2002-2004).
Lorine Meylan worked as a senior associate from 2008 to 2019 at leading law firms in Geneva, specializing in business law, in particular in mergers and acquisitions and financing, before joining Junod, Muhlstein, Lévy & Puder as a partner in May 2019.
Since 2016, Lorine Meylan has also been a member of the Swiss Federal Arbitration Commission for the Management of Copyrights and Related Rights.
Finally, in 2018, she completed the Executive Program for board members organized by the Swiss Board Institute, HEC Lausanne and the University of St-Gallen.
Lorine Meylan regularly advises national and international companies, whether start-ups, independent entrepreneurs, SMEs or multinational companies, on various related aspects, including :
• advice in commercial and corporate law ;
• drafting and negotiation of the transactional documentation in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions in various sectors of industry and finance ;
• drafting and negotiation of the contractual documentation in financing operations, as well as for the granting of securities and guarantees ;
• drafting and negotiation of all type of commercial and intellectual property/R&D contracts ;
• intellectual property in general (in particular, trademark law and copyright law), including the filing of trademarks and the management of trademark portfolios, as well as the set-up and acquisition of companies holding or exploiting intellectual property rights ;
• labour law, in particular the drafting and negotiation of employment contracts, termination letters and agreements and stock option plans, and advice on dispute management.
Thanks to her in-house legal experience, acquired in particular during a secondment of approximately two years in the legal department of a fragrance and flavor Swiss company, as substitute VP senior legal counsel, Lorine Meylan has a very good working knowledge of how a company operates and how to manage the legal aspects of strategic projects and thus offers secondment services.
In addition, she regularly advises members of boards of directors and executive managers on corporate governance and best practices. She further offers legal outsourcing services for the drafting and update of corporate documents (“corporate housekeeping”).
Lorine Meylan also advises authors and artists (and their successors in title) on the management, protection and exploitation of their copyrights and related rights in Switzerland and abroad. She further advises producers and directors of films and documentaries.
Lorine Meylan is a regular speaker in her areas of practice. She speaks fluently French and English and is a member of several professional associations.
