Leeza Lee

Leeza has extensive experience advising on a broad range of capital markets transactions, such as equity-linked securities, corporate hybrids, medium term note programmes, private and pre-IPO fundraisings and liability management transactions. Her expertise spans the full spectrum of debt and equity products, including bespoke hybrid financing structures that combine elements of loans, bonds and equity.

She has acted on numerous landmark cross-border capital markets transactions across Asia, representing issuers, underwriters and financial institutions. Her deal highlights include mandates for Meituan, Cathay Pacific Airways, Guangzhou R&F Properties, Link REIT, South Korean tech giant SK Hynix, and Vietnam’s largest private conglomerate, Vingroup.

In addition to capital markets, Leeza advises on banking and finance matters such as bilateral and syndicated lending, and project financing transactions. She recently advised Rexus Bioenergy, a homegrown Singapore renewable energy company, on a secured green loan structured by DBS to finance the construction of Singapore’s first circular biomass power plant.

Leeza also advises on regulatory matters relating to corporate law, corporate finance and fundraising, including compliance with evolving securities laws. Most notably, she acted as lead counsel to two major international financial institutions on the uplift of their legal documentation to comply with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission’s enhanced requirements on book-building and placing activities.

Before joining BTPLaw LLC, Leeza spent a decade at a top-tier Magic Circle firm in Hong Kong and a leading Singapore law firm, where she built a strong track record advising regional and global clients on complex and high-value transactions.

In recognition of her outstanding work and client service, Leeza was named one of Singapore’s Rising Stars by Asian Legal Business in July 2024, an accolade awarded to lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional promise and earned consistent client acclaim.
