KRISTINE T. TORRES is a Partner of the Firm. She is a member of the Corporate and Technology Media and Telecommunications departments of the Firm. She heads the ESG and Project Finance departments of the Firm.
She specializes in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate and business law, technology, banking, finance, securities law and project finance. She has led a number of complex and significant mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions, and regularly advises clients on the entry of foreign investments to the Philippines, various cross-border and commercial transactions, including joint ventures, capital markets, legal and regulatory compliance, technology law, as well as equity and debt capital raising transactions, corporate restructuring and tech licensing agreements.
Kristine was named as one of Philippines’ Top 100 Lawyers by Asia Business Law Journal’s Philippines The A-List in 2024. She was also awarded as winner and recognized as Young Lawyer of the Year at the 2023 ALB Philippine Law Awards. She was featured as one of Asia’s 40 Under 40 lawyers by the Asian Legal Business. Kristine was recognized by The Legal 500 as Next Generation Partner in TMT, and as Recommended Lawyer in Corporate and M&A, Banking and Finance, Projects and Energy, and Capital Markets for consecutive years. For the past years, Kristine was also cited by IFLR1000 as Rising Star Partner in M&A.

Kristine was admitted to the Philippine bar in 2013. She received her Bachelor of Laws degree from San Beda College of Law in 2012, and Bachelor of Arts in Legal Management from the University of Sto. Tomas where she graduated cum laude. She is a member of the Manila chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, and Inter-Pacific Bar Association.
Kristine also holds a Certification in Finance from the Asian Institute of Management and attended certificate courses and masterclass in mergers and acquisitions at the University of Hong Kong, as well as in Singapore. She also obtained her Certification in Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, and Mergers and Acquisitions from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
