About Kathryn Viegas

Kathryn Viegas is a Director of Nomos Legal, a law firm specialising in the provision of Australian and New Zealand immigration law advice.
Kathryn has practised immigration law since 2003. She represents a wide range of clients, including small to medium sized enterprises, large international businesses, not-for-profit organisations and individuals. She regularly provides specialist advice to applicants and organisations with complex immigration needs, including businesses with compliance issues and organisations that require strategic assistance with their global mobility needs.
Kathryn graduated with degrees in Psychology and Law from The University of New South Wales. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Australian National University in 2006, she was awarded a Master of Laws degree from The University of Sydney. In addition, she has been recognised in the annual Best Lawyers list for Australia each year from 2018 to date.
Kathryn has worked at various boutique immigration law firms in Sydney. Before co-founding Nomos, Kathryn ran her own immigration law firm for eight years. Her experience in running two law firms as well as her technical skills and pragmatism make her uniquely placed to understand business’ needs.
