Jordan Toone

Jordan Toone is a corporate attorney and a member of Parr Brown’s Business and Finance Groups. Mr. Toone represents corporate clients, private equity investors, investment funds, financial institutions, family offices and other stakeholders in domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, private investments, debt and equity capital raising, restructurings and day-to-day corporate and commercial matters in broad range of industries. Jordan’s clients include domestic companies engaged in international business and foreign companies with operations in the United States.

Jordan is involved in several community and pro bono initiatives, including assisting Islamic and other faith-based charitable organizations in the Salt Lake City area with various business, real estate, immigration and other legal matters. Prior to joining Parr Brown, Jordan practiced law as an associate at the international law firms of White & Case LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP in New York City. Before attending law school, Jordan worked as an embedded civilian social scientist with the U.S. Army’s 1st Armored Division in Iraq, liaising directly with the local Iraqi population in furtherance of various socioeconomic initiatives.

Mr. Toone received his B.A. with University Honors from Brigham Young University and his M.Phil. from the University of Oxford. Jordan earned his J.D. with Highest Honors from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he was a William H. Leary Scholar, a member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team, a member of the Utah Law Review and a recipient of the Edwin Brown Firmage Student Award in International Law and Human Rights, and was awarded the CALI Award multiple times for obtaining the highest grade in a course as well as several Outstanding Achievement Awards for the best overall performance in a course.

Mr. Toone has been recognized in the 2018, 2019, and 2022 editions of Utah Business magazine as one of Utah’s Legal Elite for his work in business & corporate law. He has also been recognized in the 2018-2022 editions of Mountain States Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” for his work in Mergers & Acquisitions.
