About John Weeden
John Weeden is the Managing Partner of Cadence Advisory LLP, the UK’s leading independent Asset Based Lending “ABL”-focussed debt advisory business.
John has over 25 years’ experience in the UK’s ABL industry across all facets of the sector, including collateral audit, products, risk, credit, strategy and syndications and advisory.
Prior to launching Cadence Advisory in early 2017, John led Lloyds Banking Group’s ABL Transactions team and also headed Lloyds’ ABL syndications desk with over £750m AUM.
Cadence Advisory supports UK, US and European borrowers and Private Equity sponsors in sourcing optimal senior-secured ABL facilities in the SME and Mid-Market, with facilities typically ranging from £3.0m to £75.0m.
Cadence also advises corporates and sponsors in relation to raising senior secured leverage debt and early-stage growth capital facilities, as well as providing security and risk-assurance due diligence services for lenders funding or looking to fund other lenders’ portfolios.
Cadence has worked with a significant number of UK private equity sponsors and has raised in excess of £150m of facilities for its client since inception.
John is an expert in ABL legal documentation having negotiated in excess of 50 complex bilateral, international and syndicated ABL facility documents.
