Jeffrey Bookbinder

Jeffrey Bookbinder is the Founding Partner of Bookbinder Business Law and has garnered 30 years of corporate commercial experience in Botswana and is a leading lawyer in his field. In addition to his admission as Attorney, Notary Public and Conveyancer of the High Court of Botswana in 1993, Jeffrey is also admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Ontario Bar (1989) and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

Experience

• Has acted for all major financial institutions including First National Bank of Botswana Limited, Access Bank Botswana Limited, Standard Chartered Bank Botswana Limited, ABSA Bank of Botswana Limited, Stanbic Bank Limited, Bank Gaborone, First Capital Bank Limited, and the central bank of Botswana.
• Has acted for various parastatals including Botswana Power Corporation, Botswana Development Corporation, National Development Bank, Botswana Innovation Hub, and Civil Aviation Authority Botswana.
• Has been involved in the most significant insolvencies and restructurings in Botswana including the winding of BCL Limited, the KFC franchise business and the restoration to solvency of the Mowana Mine.
