An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over seven (7) years in practice. Prior to his admission, Harshil obtained his LLB (Hons.) from University of Nottingham (U.K.) and thereafter pursued his postgraduate diploma at the College of Law in London, Bloomsbury. During his time in the United Kingdom, Harshil specialised in Dispute Resolution, Mergers & Acquisitions and Public Companies & Equity Finance.
Harshil is currently the Managing Partner in the firm. He has specialised majorly in the litigation and dispute resolution areas and also oversees the firm’s Probate and Administration department.
Harshil has worked in a variety of complex and high valued matters ranging in a variety of Tribunals, courts of all stature including most recently in the Supreme Court, arbitration and mediation settings.
Select Engagements:
- Opposing an Appeal to the Supreme Court on the retrospective application of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 in respect of land disputes particularly where alternative remedies were available. The matter is awaiting Judgment.
- Successfully opposing a constitutional petition seeking to challenge the Law of Succession Act’s restriction on the right to a murderer to inherit.
- Successfully expunging a registered trademark which prohibited a company from trading using its incorporated name.
- Handling a multifaceted Estate dispute revolving around the fraudulent acquisition of assets from the deceased person.
- Enforcement of Bank securities, debt recovery of non-performing loans and the corollary litigation and or disputes.
