As a Co-founder of the Anti-Counterfeit Network (ACN), Fred has great interest in Intellectual Protection and has handled many trademark infringement cases for many local and international brands including Phillips, Colgate, Total, CIPLA, Bic, Oriflame, Delmonte, SKF, Mosanto etc.
Currently, he is working for several global brands on a landmark case to enforce the GATT Valuation System to deter parallel/ illicit trading in Uganda
Under ACN, he has developed Bleep® an innovative digital platform that empowers consumers to report counterfeits, brands to verify product authenticity, and regulators to take remedial action. This platform is embedded with Bleep Security Tag (BleST), a scannable security seal that is tamper-proof, non-clonable with geo-mapping to instantly verify product authenticity. (https://bleep.ug)
Fred is also a technical resource person behind the Anti-Counterfeit Goods and Services Bill (2023) which is now before the Parliament of Uganda.
