About Elliott Rolfe
Elliott was one of the UK’s first Cannabis lawyers and has become well-known within the industry for his expertise.
He is now establishing greater recognition for the firm through the development and growth of the wider Psychoactive Medicines Law team, which is collaborating with some of the leading lights in this exciting area of research.
Elliott holds a Certificate in Medical Cannabis from the University of Colorado, completed an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Psychology at the University of Kent, holds a Diploma in Law and
a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, in addition to many industry certifications.
Prior to joining Mackrell.Solicitors, Elliott previously worked in a regulatory role as a solicitor for a major investment banking institution, and as a fee earner at a ‘Magic Circle’ law firm. He has a strong background advising on complex cross-jurisdictional legal issues, including liaising with multi-national civil and criminal regulators and advising on a broad range of EU and international regulations.
Elliott is keenly interested in psychedelic medicine and drug policy reform, and regularly supports local and national initiatives promoting these
nascent fields. He is regularly invited to speak at conferences and events, most recently including BBC World News.
He is part of the firm’s stated intent to be at the forefront of legal developments in medicinal cannabis and other psychoactive substances,
so that he can provide clients with advice on these emerging areas of law.
