David Turney

David is a co-founder and managing partner of Avery Law. Avery Law is a regulated boutique corporate law firm in London. David is a corporate and venture capital lawyer focusing mainly on clients in the growth tech sector (both company and fund side). David is also responsible for the day-to-day management, direction and culture of the firm and leads on the implementation of technology within the firm.

David is a highly skilled, entrepreneurial and recommended lawyer. He started his career at Allen & Overy before moving in-house for an international group and subsequently founding Avery Law. He frequently provides corporate, commercial and finance English law advice to start-ups, investors, corporates and individuals from around the world.

David specialises in fundraisings and venture debt deals, particularly in the tech sector. He has a wealth of in-depth experience in guiding clients through the corporate lifecycle and on exit scenarios. He is regularly involved in deals at all stages of the cap table – and is known in London as the “cap lawyer”.

David has been publicly described as “an extraordinary lawyer who is extremely helpful and professional”.
