Charles K. Muhumuza is the Managing Partner of Muhumuza-Kiiza Advocates and Legal Consultants, a full-service Ugandan law firm established in 2010. Over the last fifteen years, Charles has guided the firm’s growth from its headquarters in Kampala to six additional regional offices. Charles is a holder of Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Center. He has had special training in;

Charles is a seasoned lawyer with expertise in Commercial Law and Land Law. He has led notable projects, including heading the legal teams that worked on the projects for Total Energies in the Tilenga Project in Buliisa and Hoima Districts and the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) along nine (9) Districts in Uganda and crosses over to Tanzania. This is the longest underground heated oil pipeline in the world. This work involved carrying out compulsory land acquisitions for the project area. The project work involved different land tenures and working with various stake holders both in government and private sectors to negotiate the same. The work was also very technical and required a good grasp of various law disciplines to be able to find solutions to the Project Affected Person. This was the first of this kind of project in Uganda.
