Catriona Collerton

Catriona joined us in 2017 from an Engineering consultancy background, having gained a first class degree in Engineering Science at Oxford. This has provided her with a solid grounding in complex mathematical and physical theory, enabling her to draft cases in advanced technical areas including AI, blockchain and image processing.

She brings her technical expertise and attention to detail to all her cases. Even in her early training, she has attracted such plaudits from clients as ‘ absolutely superb piece of work’ , ‘I’m thrilled with this first draft …’ .

Catriona has worked in other technical fields including telecommunications;

• audio and video coding;
• cybersecurity;
• fabrication methods; and
• online games, and
• with a variety of clients, from individual inventors and SMEs, to large multinational corporations.

While her core work is in application drafting and IP prosecution in the UK, Europe, and US, she also has experience of advising on infringement issues, and assisting in the management and development of patent portfolios, including invention harvesting and assessment.
