Principal Attorney and Founder Brendan Berne has been in private practice for 15 years, first in the United States and, since 2008, in Paris, France. Mr. Berne specializes in multi-jurisdictional transactions strategy, a method he developed for his clients to ensure an optimal global compliance and contracts policy through a synthesized approach that empowers the client to adopt the most cost-effective yet reliable legal and compliance posture designed for success.

As an experienced litigator before the courts of France and the United States, Mr. Berne favors precision, clarity, and a careful assessment of risks and benefits.

A graduate of The University of Chicago and Columbia University, Mr. Berne attended law school at the Saint Louis University School of Law, Université d’Orléans, the Sorbonne Law School (Paris I) and the European University Institute (Florence, Italy).

Mr. Berne is enrolled as an Avocat in the Bar of Paris, a licensed Illinois Attorney and Counselor at Law, and accredited as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and Data Privacy Protection Specialist (DPPS). Mr. Berne also teaches Economics and International Business Law as an adjunct professor at the Rennes School of Business and the ILERI School of International Relations.
