Anja Piening

Experience
Anja Piening is the managing director, partner, and lawyer at NP advokater, where she also holds executive responsibility for company leadership, strategy, business development, and partnerships. She co-founded NP advokater in 2015 and combines her management duties with extensive client advisory work for both private and public sector clients. Anja has deep knowledge of Denmark's public procurement system, gained through many years of experience working in and leading politically governed organizations. She advises extensively on procurement law, especially related to centralized purchasing, framework agreements, dynamic purchasing systems, and welfare technology. Her work includes guiding contracting authorities through all stages of procurement, from market dialogue and strategy to tender preparation, contract negotiations, risk assessment, enforcement, and project management. Anja also frequently handles cases before the Danish Complaints Board for Public Procurement but strives to resolve disputes without formal litigation.
