Anand specializes in local and international corporate and commercial work and is regularly instructed as Mauritian counsel in cross border project investment and financing structures, including south east Asian, India and African related projects.
In this respect Anand works with many of the leading law firms such as Allen & Overy, Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co, AZB & Partners, Freshfields, J. Sagar Associates, Khaitan & Co, Kirkland & Ellis, Luthra & Luthra, Nishith Desai Associates, SNR Denton, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. Anand is also instructed by various corporate lenders such as Credit Suisse, Nomura Singapore Limited, and ICICI.
He is regularly instructed to advise on collective investment schemes and private equity fund structures and has acted as Mauritius counsel to various funds sponsored by, inter alia, Kotak Investment Advisors Limited, Shapoorji Pallonji and Company Limited, Reliance Asset Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd, UTI Asset Management Company Ltd, SBI Funds Management Private Limited, TATA Asset Management (Mauritius) Private Limited, and Mubasher Financial Services BSC ©.
Anand frequently advises and opines on share purchase agreements and shareholders’ agreements and he has also acted as Mauritius counsel in cross border mergers.
He further advises borrowers and lenders on loan facility and security agreements.
Anand is also counsel to Apex Fund Services (Mauritius) Ltd, a management company that specialises in the administration of collective investment schemes. He is also a regular counsel to DTOS Ltd, one of the larger and prominent management companies in Mauritius.
