Alexandra Burger is an Admitted Attorney, Notary and an ex-banker with over 20 years of experience in financial services, international business, legal advisory and practice.
She advises private equity and venture capital funds, pension funds and companies locally and internationally.
Her areas of expertise include investment funds, private equity, venture capital, financial services law, corporate commercial law, commercial transactions, international company and trust structuring (fiduciary services), and more recently, pension fund law.
In private equity and venture capital she has held the position of General Counsel and Special Advisor and has been involved in the set up of funds, capital raising, investments into portfolio companies, exits through MBOs, trade sales, IPOS and wind down.
While working in investment banking, her expertise involved investment products structuring, legal advisory, financial services law, capital raising and international stock exchange listings.
Alexandra has significant entrepreneurial flair and expertise having set up various businesses from fiduciary services to international trading companies and technology businesses. She specialises in cross-border transactions including the provision of legal transaction advice and drafting of commercial agreements. She has been the lead in stock exchange listings in private equity, property, structured products, specialised opportunities and has developed investment structures in renewable energy, trade finance, venture capital and impact investments.
