Yudish is the founder and Head of Chambers of Lutchmenarraidoo Chambers.
Yudish holds a Degree in French Law and a Master 1 in Business and Private Law from the UniversitƩ Montesquieu of Bordeaux, France. He further holds a Graduate Diploma in Law and has completed his Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Law School, London, United Kingdom.
He is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and was called to the Bar of England and Wales as well as to the Bar of Mauritius.
Having received his legal education both in France and the United Kingdom, he has the advantage of being conversant with both legal systems and can therefore handle legal matters deriving from either of these two jurisdictions.
Since he has qualified, he has practiced, in Mauritius, for more than two and a half years at a reputed Chambers of Barristers and for more than six months at an international law firm.
In May 2019 he the law firm to start his own practice, namely Lutchmenarraidoo Chambers. His practice is split between Dispute Resolution, Advisory and Regulatory work.
In terms of Advisory, he regularly advises companies, trusts and entities which hold the following licenses from the Financial Services Commission: Management Company, Fund, Investment Adviser (unrestricted), CIS Manager.
Further, he has carried out independent audits of the Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Financing of Terrorism framework of such FSC licensees and gathered valuable experience and knowledge about the FSCās approach and requirements with regards to such exercises.
In terms of Dispute Resolution, his practice areas include contract, tort, family, banking, commercial, employment, construction, property, tax and regulatory.
With regards to his Regulatory work, he has interacted with several divisions of the Financial Services Commission such as the Authorisation and Supervision Division, the Enforcement Division and the Enforcement Committee.
He regularly appears before all levels of the Mauritian Courts and tribunals, including the Assessment Review Committee, the Environment and Land Appeal Tribunal, the Intermediate Court, the Industrial Court, the Supreme Court, the Family Division of the Supreme Court and the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court.
Further, he has appeared before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council twice, as Junior Counsel, including in the first ever case heard by the Judicial Committee via live video-link.
