Tariq has over eighteen years of experience in handling non-contentious corporate transactional and advisory work ranging from complex corporate structuring to advising on mergers & acquisitions, project finance, joint ventures, corporate compliance, intellectual property, real estate acquisition & development and labour & employment law matters.

Tariq is an expert on foreign direct investment in Pakistan and has helped several companies establish a foot print in Pakistan. He is known for providing strategic advice to businesses on structuring transactions and drafting transactional documents. Tariq is the main counsel for several transnational corporations operating in Pakistan and routinely advises both local and foreign entities on regulatory compliance requirements under various laws.

Recent work highlights include advising a multinational entity on an acquisition in the oil & gas sector; advice to a global mobile equipment manufacturer on data and privacy requirements; advice to a Chinese entity on pre-merger approval requirements; advice to a European multinational on labour and employment matters; advice to a Singapore based technology company on the licensing regime for non-banking finance companies; advice to a leading European shared work space provider on a franchising arrangement and advice to a group of investors on renewable energy regime in Pakistan. Tariq also routinely advises technology companies with equity issuance and raising funding.
