The recently voted law 4686/2020 brings about the following changes concerning the granting of a residence permit to investors due to the purchase of real estate worth at least 250,000 euros (golden visa):

1. It is now required to draw up and submit a certificate from the notary who draws up the contract of sale, stating the main details of the purchase as well as the manner in which the payment is made. It is expected that a joint ministerial decision will be issued, which will specify its content.
2. It is possible to grant a residence permit to the children of investors over 21 years of age and up to 24 years of age.

These amendments are aimed at boosting the confidence of many foreign investors who choose Greece to invest.
