Gerald Edelman Appoints Four New Partners

Leading mid-tier accountancy and advisory Firm, Gerald Edelman, has appointed four new partners to strengthen its growing corporate finance team and its offering across corporate tax and transactions services. The appointments, which include new joiners Jagdip Bharij, Creag Campbell-Ace and Andrew Smith, alongside the internal promotion of Sam Barr, reinforce the firm’s active growth strategy and bring the number of partners to 24.

Sam Barr, who trained at Deloitte and joined Gerald Edelman in 2023 from Stifel, has extensive experience advising businesses and their owners on M&A transactions across a range of sectors. He has been integral to scaling the firm’s corporate finance practice, which he will continue to do as Partner from 1 April. The award-winning team has expanded significantly in recent months and established a strong position in the market.

Also, part of the firm’s partner-led corporate finance offering, Jagdip Bharij joined Gerald Edelman in March 2026 as Transaction Tax Partner. He brings more than 25 years’ experience, having led and managed tax engagements for large multinational companies, including FTSE 250 companies, private equity and family offices. Bharij, who has held senior tax positions at EY, Alvarez & Marsal, and as Head of Tax at Low Carbon, has significant experience in corporate tax advisory and compliance with a particular focus on transaction tax. 

The appointment of Creag Campbell-Ace, who joined the firm as Transaction Services Partner in February, further deepens the expertise within Gerald Edelman’s corporate finance team. Specialising across financial due diligence services to private equity, debt funds and corporate sponsors, Creag has advised on more than 100 completed transactions across a broad range of sectors. Having trained and held senior positions at several Big Six accountancy firms before becoming a Partner at Azets, Creag brings extensive experience in buy-side, sell-side and pre-lend financial due diligence.

Andrew Smith, who joined as Corporate Tax Partner in January, brings more than two decades’ experience, including at a Big Four firm and as Partner at a top 20 accountancy practice. Smith advises clients on complex tax matters, from private company acquisitions and disposals, corporate reorganisations, share incentive arrangements and property structuring, as well as share valuations for tax purposes. He specialises in advising owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth clients.
