EU Artificial Intelligence Act Proposal - High-risk AI Systems

– posted 5 years ago

In this second video, we will examine in greater detail the legal framework that is described for high-risk AI systems (provisions contained in Title III of the AI Act).

Chapter II of Title III sets 5 sets of requirements for high-risk AI systems:

  • high quality of data,
  • traceability,
  • transparency,
  • human oversight,
  • robustness, accuracy and cybersecurity.

The risk-based approach that inspires the AI Act entails that AI systems can only enter the EU market if they comply with the above requirements and if they possess an ex-ante conformity assessment.

Chapter III of Title III established horizontal obligations for AI systems providers, users, and other economic operators.
