“Failing to prepare is preparing to fail” – a quote that has stuck with me from an early age, and could not be more true when considering an M&A transaction. Having worked on a number of deals, I try to ensure that all my clients, whether seller or buyer, are afforded the maximum potential to get the deal completed and at the best possible value – hopefully exceeding their expectations! My core focus is to provide market-leading advice to business owners on planning for the sale of their businesses and on the sale itself, and also to buyers on their M&A strategy, always with the aim of engaging clients early in the thought process to deliver successful outcomes. I graduated with a degree in Finance, Accounting and Management from the University of Nottingham and subsequently joined the graduate scheme at one of the Big Four. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012 and have been advising on M&A deals since then. I have been heading up the Deal Advisory team at Gerald Edelman since 2019 and focus on advising mid-market private companies on M&A transactions across a range of sectors, including leisure, healthcare, business services, industrial products and consumer (amongst others).
