About Angelos Stylianou
Angelos Stylianou, founder of the firm, was educated in the UK obtaining a BA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Leeds. Upon completion of his studies he returned back to Cyprus where he signed a training contract to train as a Chartered Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers Cyprus, from where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. Angelos stayed on with PriceWaterhouseCoopers for nearly 9 years before resigning from his post of Senior Manager. While with PriceWaterhouseCoopers Cyprus he was send for a secondment to PriceWaterhouseCoopers Ukraine (July 2007 – March 2008) as a team member of the real estate team, thus gaining knowledge and insight. This proved to be a unique opportunity since Angelos was involved in a number of transactions (some of which exceeded USD100mln) from both the Cypriot and Ukrainian point of view. Angelos has extensive experience on international taxation matters and tax planning on cross border transactions, gained both through practical experience and by attending numerous seminars/courses/summits.
Angelos was a member of the VAT Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) for six years (2008 – 2014). The VAT Committee keeps contacts with the government services in charge, the Parliament and advises ICPAC Board on issues that may arise.
