The nature of the work in which YSP is involved spans various types of criminal, labour, civil, family, immigration, commercial and economic cases, as well as all types of cases related to companies in differing sectors.

The process of providing legal consultations to clients is as follows:

1. A thorough review of the client’s situation through the client’s statements and supporting documents;
2. Offering a legal opinion;
3. Guiding the client toward the most appropriate methods to secure their rights, whether through amicable dispute resolution or litigation.

Economic disputes are the most active, because of the currency flotation.

Individual and corporate clients who do not agree with their opponents to resolve their disputes through arbitration.

The largest percentage of cases involves economic disputes between individuals and companies and banks due to the recent fluctuations in the Egyptian market caused by the currency flotation.

Many clients, especially foreign companies, prefer to resolve disputes through arbitration, as it is faster than litigation – even if it proves costlier.

There are two main types of judiciary in Egypt:

1. Administrative judiciary, which specialises in resolving administrative disputes related to state decisions and tax disputes.
2. Ordinary judiciary, which covers several types of courts, including:
– Criminal courts, which address crimes that violate the Penal Code.
– Civil courts, which handle civil and commercial cases.
– Family courts, which deal with family-related cases.
– Economic courts, which handle economic cases and crimes that violate economic laws.

The only problem with litigation in Egypt is the long litigation time regarding cases with an international dimension. The majority of foreign companies prefer to resolve disputes through arbitration, especially since Egyptian law recognises arbitration awards and enforces them according to the procedures outlined in Egyptian arbitration law.

There has been an increase in environmental cases due to environmental laws, as well as a rise in corporate governance cases because regulatory authorities are keen on enforcing corporate governance. However, this requires more awareness among litigants in these areas.

Currently, Egypt has prioritised the use of clean energy through Vision 2030

Legal publications and conferences play an important role in raising legal awareness among legal professionals and specialists, providing the best solutions and suggestions by addressing the problems facing the legal system in Egypt.

Currently, Egypt is witnessing significant advancements in its legal system, with the State moving towards the implementation of remote litigation systems, including electronic case filing, remote hearings and completing all procedures online.

In conclusion, the ongoing advancements in Egypt’s legal system will accelerate case resolution and deliver prompt justice, ultimately improving the investment climate in Egypt in the coming period.
