Gerald Edelman has advised Merebrook Partners Ltd on the acquisition of Merebrook Consulting Ltd. Merebrook Consulting Ltd specialises in providing consulting services in respect of environmental and engineering projects within the construction sector. Its clients primarily include developers, contractors and local authorities.
Merebrook Partners Ltd was founded by Mark Lavender, who brings numerous years’ experience as a Managing and Regional Director in the Building Products, Construction, OEM and Industrial sectors in large multi-national corporations. The company was incorporated for the purpose of acquiring, operating and growing a UK SME.
Merebrook Consulting Ltd, founded in 1997, is a UK-based environmental and engineering consultancy and was part of the IDOM group, headquartered in Spain. The company specialises in managing environmental risk within the construction sector, offering tailored, cost-effective solutions for developers, contractors and local authorities. With a reputation built on technical expertise and a client-focused approach, Merebrook provides consultancy services across all stages of development, from feasibility and land acquisition to site investigation, remediation and infrastructure design.
Gerald Edelman acted as buy-side financial adviser, undertaking financial and taxation due diligence, preparing the three statement financial model, advising on the transaction mechanics, such as the completion mechanism, working capital and net debt, as well as providing other advice throughout the course of the transaction.
